Carbon Safe, a Colorado nonprofit corporation d/b/a Terraset (the “Company” or “We”), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through the Company’s compliance with this policy.

This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the website www.terrasetclimate.org (the “Website”) and the Company’s practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

This policy applies to information we collect:

  • On the Website.
  • In email, text, and other electronic messages between you and the Website.

  • The Company offline or through any other means, including on any other website operated by the Company or any third party; or

Individuals Under the Age of 18

The Website is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. No one under age 18 may provide any information to or on the Website. We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to the Company. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:

However these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. You can opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”) on the NAI’s website.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

The Company would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user of the Website is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access - You have the right to request copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
  • The right to rectification - You have the right to request that the Company correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request that the Company complete information you believe is incomplete.

  • The right to restrict processing - You have the right to request that the Company restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah each provide their state residents with rights to:

  • Access and delete certain personal information.
  • Data portability.
  • Opt-out of personal data processing for targeted advertising and sales.

Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia also provide their state residents with rights to:

  • Correct inaccuracies in their personal information, taking into account the information’s nature processing purpose.

Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. The Company may transfer your personal data outside of the jurisdiction where you reside.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although the Company does its best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to the Website. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website.
